Abstract

It is with great pride that we present the first issue of PROCESUAL, Journal of Research in Art, Design, and Film, an academic publication that represents a strategic milestone for the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). The creation of this journal responds to the institutional objectives of strengthening quality research, showcasing emerging academic production, and maintaining FAD as a leader in the creative fields. The FAD's Institutional Development Plan (PDI) underscores the importance of promoting the intellectual output of its academic bodies, generating spaces for inter- and transdisciplinary dialogue, and projecting academic excellence in the arts and design. In this sense, PROCESUAL is a key element in realizing these strategic goals.
