Abstract

The aim of this essay is to revisit and put into dialogue some proposals from four critical feminist epistemologists: Donna Haraway, Chela Sandoval, Gloria Anzaldúa, and Karen Barad. This is not only a theoretical and conceptual reflection but also methodological and epistemological one, on how to build research that goes beyond the modern-colonial scientific paradigm and its values ingrained in our academic practices; I propose doing this by drawing on praxis such as decolonization and queering. This is an unconventional academic essay, which relies on creative tools such as ethnographic imagination and fiction to analyze and build bridges between theory, the affective, and the personal: I imagine the authors co(n)versing –dialoguing their conceptual proposals and jointly constructing poetic couplets– in a fandango jarocho, in, from, and with the tarima, the center of the son jarocho fiesta.
