Abstract
The aim of this text is to carry out an analysis of the relationship between politics and documentary cinema. To this end, the article is structured into three sections. First, some important considerations for thinking about politics today are described. Second, a reflection is offered on the relationship between documentary cinema and politics. Finally, based on the previously discussed notions, Sergei Loznitsa’s documentary State Funeral is analyzed. The expected outcome is the generation of elements that contribute to defining how the political image functions.
